Indian Women’s Business Club started on 2018 with the aim to promote Women Entrepreneurs in Mumbai. Today we are a proud and prosperous coterie of Successful Businesswomen.
At IWBC we believe in building business through relationships and creating a strong networking community of women entrepreneurs. Our ambition is to one day have successful chapters across Mumbai and other cities in India as well as abroad and change the way women do business.
We at IWBC are proud of providing women with a strong platform to support their growth, financial independence and make them better at business. We think beyond transactional relations and cultivate a culture of mutual advancement and bolster members of the tribe in their endeavours.
Indian Women's Business Club's core objective is to encourage women entrepreneurship and provide all women entrepreneurs - existing and new, an invaluable arena that integrates business knowledge and accessible options for women business owners to grow independently.
IWBC is not just any business networking club, it is a dream to design better futures. An institution to inspire local businesswomen. A clan of women working for their personal as well as each other's growth.

They say that great journeys often have unusual beginnings. Cleona Britto D'Souza too started her journey as an entrepreneur in an unconventional manner. The story began in 1978 in the city of Madras (now Chennai) in the home of a Policeman and a School Teacher. The idea of giving back to society was ingrained in a young Cleona's mind since the early days. Along with this high thinking what also grew within the heart of this young girl was a steely resolve to make her mark in the world.
She started her first job as a receptionist at the tender age of 17 when most of her friends were still figuring out what subjects to select in college. And moved to Bangalore (now Bengaluru) at the age of 23, never to look back again.
Working her way through the corporate world in leadership roles across operations, sales, marketing and training, rising to the designation of general manager of operations. This extensive growth made her come to the realisation that her ultimate ambition lay in entrepreneurship.
This led to the founding of the iconic Cleo's Salon in 2010 which went on to become a super successful business venture over the next decade.
Through her peregrination of 20 years, a few things became more and more clear to Cleona. Her need to create growth opportunities for women around her, the lack of support system for women entrepreneurs, the importance of having a tribe that is behind you no matter what and her ambition to create something greater than herself. And thus, the movement called IWBC was born.
From 2018 onwards Cleona embarked on the next stage of her journey, creating opportunities for growth and success. Today IWBC and the other ventures founded by her are creating ripples in the business world and carving out success stories.

As the sole founder of Growth Cove LLP which has Indian Women's Business Club, Indian Networking Club, Gurukul & Mudita, my entrepreneurial experience runs across the spectrum. It is with this experience; I support local businesses and community growth and aim to create a tribe of strong & courageous women who will lay the foundations of powerful local businesses.
I am fulfilling my purpose of life which is to help new ventures and start-ups to build a credible name across the local entrepreneurial landscape."
